Automotive production volumes are expanding in India. Pune has become an automotive hub where many automotive manufacturers reside. It is estimated that the total capacity of automotive manufacturers in Pune will reach 1.5 million units by 2015.

Currently China Steel Corporation Group (CSC Group) has been developing High-End steel products, such as automotive steel. Thus, India is one of the key markets for CSC Group. By establishing this steel processing center with Mahindra Intertrade Limited and Mitsui & Co Ltd, China Steel Global Trading Corporation (CSGT, 100% subsidiary of CSC Group) wishes to extend services to India and build the beachhead for Indian automotive market.

In addition to this particular steel processing center, China Steel Corporation India an electrical steel mill which CSC Group established in Dahej, Gujarat is under construction, and is estimated to begin producing in 2014. CSGT is planning to set up a branch in Mumbai in 2014. The steel processing center aims to start operating and supplying products to automotive manufacturers in Pune area starting 2015. CSC Group will endeavor to supply high quality steel products and best services in India. CSGT wishes not only to achieve synergy with alliance partners, but also to progress with local customers.
